Friend, I completely agree with your stated opinion. When I finished the game, I had a strange feeling that I had been screwed somewhere. It was terribly disappointing as I played on PC4, and this “Masterpiece” cost me 5,500 rubles. (price with all content). In short, upvote)
Correct opinion, I fully support https://casinosnogamstop.co.uk/ it, as surely all fans of the series do. As a fan myself, I can’t understand where such ratings and phrases like “return to my 98” come from. if the majority of those who write this in 98, they hardly could play such games at all, and indeed games in general due to their age. The maximum they started with was 4ka, but it was already too far away from the original.
In general, everything you said is correct, but you missed a lot, and I would like to add:
Well, first of all: RE was never a purebred horror, it was an action horror with elements of survival, for this reason 7 is no longer RE, and for exactly this reason the 6th part is not RE because it was already a purebred action. And this is precisely why I don’t like parts 6 or 7 because these are extremes that RE has never been.
Secondly: 7ka is not scary at all, it rather causes disgust from the abominations on the screen that are constantly shoved right in your face. All these guts, meat, rotten meat, dismemberment, etc. This is definitely an emphasis on American low-budget B-grade horror films, like The Texas Buzzsaw Massacre and other trash. RE has never been on a trailer like this. Mikami never took such a trashy approach, he was all about atmosphere, music, and the right boo moments. Here is The evil within a vivid example of his work.
Thirdly: this is actually a 1st person view. Again, it’s not for nothing that Mikami persistently makes games from the 3rd person, there is an atmospheric and visual element in this, and the presentation of the character is better felt. It is clear that in 7 this is done for VR, but in my opinion this is not the only problem. There are also savings on animation and character development. Although it really seems to me that the whole game is just saving money, since most likely this game was not RE from the very beginning, and if it was, it was clearly not a numbered part. Rather, it was a side project specifically for VR, and only because of the great popularity of this kind of horror games recently, it was quickly remade into RE, because the initial rumors and official interviews with the developers spoke of a completely different game.
And finally, fifthly: these are the graphics. Yes, I agree that in some places it looks photorealistic, but only in those places where what is visible is limited by the light of a flashlight, since resources are saved there, but when you go to illuminated places, the photorealism suddenly disappears.
I would also add here the “masterpiece” development of Zoe’s character and the only and unnecessary choice in the entire game.
