New information about Batman: Arkham City

The new issue of the gaming magazine Game Informer published information about Catwoman:

Rocksteady says Catwoman is about twice as fast and strong as Batman. She plays very differently from Batman.

Because Catwoman is much more agile, her transitions during combat are more exciting than Batman’s. Our main character will be happy if he knocks out several enemies at the same time, but Catwoman kicks enemies with her heel. One of my favorite moves is counterattacking the enemy: where she stuns the enemy and then uses him as a springboard for the next enemy. Batman is certainly competent in combat, but I have to say that I had a lot more fun playing as Catwoman.

In a predator mission called https://gemlercasino.co.uk/bonus/ "Meltdown Mayhem", I had to track down one of the thugs who was in an industrial area. It was a good mission, whose combat mission quickly changed. Catwoman’s weakness is when facing armed opponents, several shots will reduce her health to one quarter of her maximum health percentage. I found that I didn’t really rely on detective vision here as much as I did in Arkham Asylum. I only activated it when I didn’t know the location of the enemies.

Not only can Batman use the gargoyles as perches, Catwoman will need to cling to the wall below the statue and then do some quick jumps to get into position (jump on the gargoyle). I climbed onto the gargoyle and waited until the bad guy left the group and passed below me. Then I jumped on him and disabled him. His friends heard the noise and came towards me, but when they were already there, I was no longer there.

It was a lot of fun and I felt mean. I earned Riddler medals on missions. For example, one of the tasks was to disable the enemy. No problem. You can spend these medals to purchase special battle upgrades (regenerating health, aggressive enemies, gadgets) that can be used to spice up the fight or deal with further problems.

— In an interview with Playstation Blog, Rocksteady Marketing Manager Dax Ginn let it slip that Robin will have a shield.

Robin will be using his weapons staff in Arkham City, and now also a shield?

Robin will only appear in certain cards, but this does not mean that we will not reveal this character. To fit into our world, he must be hard-hitting and his abilities must be close to those of Batman, so he will have a bow and a shield. He is also an explosives specialist who has enhanced vision that allows him to locate explosives in the environment. Robin is a complex character and very different from Batman — it won’t matter if we just make one shell in the form of his skin.

In addition to all this, Tim Drake will now use a shield to stun opponents.
